At Impact Recovery Center, our programs revolves around three key components: the authentic recovery process, individualized clinical work and our Impact Families program, dedicated to healing and supporting loved ones. This unique trifecta is very effective.
Impact is firmly rooted in the principles of the 12 step process.
Our approach to recovery is one of full immersion, where we swiftly and meticulously progress through the spiritual program of action. Our primary objective is to equip individuals with the tools they need to seamlessly integrate this new way of life into their daily existence.
What We Help WithAs a guided immersive recovery program, we take individuals through a spiritual program of action quickly and thoroughly so they are able to experience a profound transformation in their lives. We’ve observed that, as individuals engage deeply in this type of intensive and immersive recovery process, they often find the courage to confront and resolve other underlying issues that are may be contributing to their addictions. This holistic approach also leads to a renewed perspective and outlook on life. An Impact resident’s main goal upon completion of the program is to get back out into the real world and immediately put this new way of living into practical application, and we prepare our residents accordingly so they can be this proactive with their recovery.
During Impact Renewal, individuals spend 35 days at our 60-acre recovery center outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Our recovery center has an intimate maximum capacity of just 14 clients, so our team knows each person and their families personally. Our small enrollment allows for personalized and specific care for both our clients and their loved ones.
Upon entry into the program, each client is paired with a dedicated personal recovery director who provides unwavering support throughout their stay. Each participant also receives personalized guidance from an individual counselor during the course of their program, meeting with the counselor regularly, and, after a certain point, meeting with their counselor and loved ones together.
For individuals who cannot fully disconnect from their professional or academic responsibilities, we have developed the Executive Track program. This specialized track enables professionals to participate in our standard recovery curriculum while accommodating their work and prior commitments. By providing flexibility and tailored support, we ensure that individuals can embark on their recovery journey without sacrificing their professional or educational obligations. At Impact, we never want the fear of abandoning responsibilities, or a feeling that one cannot step away from their work or academic pursuits, to prevent someone from experiencing recovery.

We offer free consultations for anyone interested in learning more about our programs and seeking treatment for themselves or a loved one. We can also help determine if the Executive Track is appropriate for your recovery situation.
We look forward to guiding you on your path to recovery.
At Impact Recovery Center, we recognize that the journey to recovery extends well beyond the completion of an addiction program. Recovery is an ongoing process – a continuous path towards personal growth, understanding and freedom from addiction. That's why we've designed our aftercare program to be with you every step of the way, offering guidance, support and community to help you maintain and build upon the progress you've achieved.
Impact Transitions was created to empower individuals to begin utilizing the tools they've acquired in recovery and immediately apply them in the real world. Our aftercare program ensures that you remain in the recovery mindset even when you are not in treatment and continue to interact with others who are also in recovery.
Aftercare is the period of recovery that follows completion of the Impact Renewal program. The purpose of aftercare is to ensure that a person continues their dedication to recovery and avoids relapse in the weeks and months after a recovery program.
Aftercare is a crucial component of a successful recovery plan, as relapses commonly occur immediately following the initial help. We highly recommend the Impact Transitions phase to our participants as it significantly enhances their chances of success.
Impact Transitions is available to anyone who has just completed the 35-day Impact Renewal program.
During Impact Transitions, individuals live at our private residence in Birmingham, AL, and begin re-engaging with their daily routines. Individuals continue participating in recovery programming and meetings at Impact during their time in aftercare. These programs focus on helping individuals navigate their newfound sobriety in the real world. Participants and families also continue to receive guidance from a dedicated recovery coach. This tailored approach ensures that individuals can effectively integrate their newfound skills into their daily lives, paving the way for sustainable recovery.
The duration of the Impact Transitions program depends on the individual. We pay special attention to tailoring the Transitions program to each person’s unique and specific needs in order to create the best and most effective recovery plan possible. That said, we strongly advise and recommend individuals take part in our aftercare program for at least some duration of time. Individuals that stick around are often more successful in their recovery because they are able to put the tools they have learned into practical application while still remaining in a supportive bubble.
At Impact, recovery is not just about completing a program and resuming life; we want individuals to consciously live a recovery-centric lifestyle and be leaders in the community. Impact Transitions helps equip our clients with the tools and support they need to do just that.
Our Impact Families program extends support not only to individuals in recovery but also to their loved ones. This initiative offers family members an opportunity to embark on their own opportunity to heal and grow while their loved one receives care at Impact.
Through facilitated virtual group sessions, members engage in self-exploration and education pertaining to alcoholism and addiction. Our program also features guest speakers from our experienced staff who provide valuable insights into the recovery process.
Upon completion of the program, family members are empowered to support others and facilitate groups, fostering a cycle of healing and growth within our community. This collaborative effort plants the seeds of recovery and perpetuates positive change for those grappling with addiction.
Once someone enters Impact Renewal, their family and loved ones will be paired with a recovery director who will update them on the client’s ongoing progress and goals. Directors will also spend time talking with families about the nature of alcoholism and drug addiction, helping them gain a tangible understanding of their loved one's experiences and why they are struggling. Above all, our team helps loved ones acquire the tools they need to navigate their own challenges that arise from having a loved one struggling with addiction.
Relief is not just for the sufferer; it extends to everyone in their life!
We also provide family sessions with our counselors once an Impact resident completes a specific step of their 35-day recovery course. At this point, families will have the opportunity to meet with their loved one and counselor together.
Family sessions and support continue on once an individual enters into Impact Transitions. Individuals participating in Impact Families will also have the opportunity to mentor and meet with other families in the Impact community once they have entered the program.
Family sessions and services are available both virtually and in-person.
